Bar 501c3
Bar 501c3 was the world's 1st not-for-profit bar. Part community watering hole, part charitable foundation, 100% of the proceeds from the pop-up event went directly to area nonprofits. Bar 501c3 was a place where you could raise a glass with friends while raising money and awareness for some of NYC's most kick-ass charities.
The event attracted massive crowds of revelers who came to indulge in this surprisingly hedonistic nightlife experience, and gawk at celebrity bartenders like Chelsea Handler, Kim Kardashian, Tina Fey and Jake Gyllenhaall. The project raised over $2M in just two weeks, proving that philanthropy is best shaken, not stirred.
